CIES Elections Panel Discussion Series 3:
Iranian Election Results of 14 June and their Wider Implications

The Center for International and European Studies (CIES) hosted the third of its CIES Elections Panel Discussion Series, in partnership with the Hollings Center for International Dialogue, on Monday, 17 June 2013from 10.30 – 12.00 at Kadir Has University’s Fener Hall. In this round of the series, the outcome of Iran’s eleventh election for President, held on 14 June 2013, was assessed. The panelists discussed the role of Iran, the implications of the elections for the wider region; Iran’s relations with its neighbors and the rest of the international community, whether friends or foes; and the repercussions for Turkey.
